Fe (III) hydroxide polymaltose complex (equiv to elemental Fe 100 mg), folic acid 350 mcg

Indications/Uses

Fe-deficiency anaemia.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult 1-3 tab daily.

Administration

May be taken with or without food: May chew/swallow tab.

Contraindications

Haemochromatosis, haemosiderosis, thalassemia, sideroblastic anaemia, chronic haemodialysis, lead-induced anaemia, repeated blood transfusions.

Adverse Reactions

GI discomfort, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, epigastric pain, black stools.

Drug Interactions

Absorption decreased w/ antacids. May reduce effects of penicillamine.
